Filistin dünya tarihinde çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bunun sebeplerinden en önemlisi üç büyük din için tasıdıgı kutsiyettir. Yazar Sabbas S. Aliakiozogloy eserini Anadolu’da yasayan Rum Ortodoksları için yazmıstır. Onların Filistin tarihinden haberdar olmaları, dini inançlarını takviye ve her sene burayı ziyarete gidenlere rehber kitap olması eserin yazılıs amaçlarındandır. Moykemmel Yerusalim Tarihi adlı eserde Filistin hakkında genel malumat verilip cografi sınırları çizildikten sonra Arz-ı Mukaddes isminin nereden geldigi açıklanmıstır. Özelikle metinde Filistin’in geçirmis oldugu savaslar, dogal afetler ve bu sürelerde basa geçen rahiplerden bahsetmektedir. Bu çalısmada eserin 1 - 211 sayfaları içinde geçen Arapça – Farsça kökenli kelimeler, imlâ, telâffuz ve anlam bakımından incelenmistir.

Palestine has a curicial role in the history of the world. The most important reason for this role is that it is the centre of the three great religions. Author Sabbas S. Aliakiozogloy wrote his work for the members of the Eastern Ortodoxchurch living in Anatolia. Their awereness of the history of Palestine, reinforcement of their religiusbelief and providing quidance to those visiting this place every year are the reasons for this work to be written by the Author. Moykemmel explains the origins of Jerusalem in his work called “the History of Jerusalem” after giving general information about Palestine and drawing geographical borders. Especially, the natural disasters and the wars experienced and the priests ruling that period of time are mentioned in the book. In this study, the words which are origin from Arabian and Persian in 1 – 211 pages of the book, are examined in terms of orthograpy, pronunciation and meaning.
